Last updated

Effective date

These Website and Parent Portal Terms of Use ('Terms') govern access to and use of the Boys Leadership Academy USA ('BLA,' 'we,' 'us,' or 'our') website, registration platform, parent portal, interest forms, volunteer forms, payment-reporting tools, electronic documents, and related online services.

By accessing or using the BLA website or portal, creating an account, submitting information, registering a participant, or electronically signing or acknowledging a BLA document, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the applicable online service.

1. PURPOSE OF THE BLA PLATFORM

The BLA website and portal are provided to support activities such as:

  • Learning about BLA programs
  • Joining an interest list
  • Registering eligible participants
  • Managing camper information
  • Submitting health and medical information
  • Providing emergency contacts
  • Managing authorized pickup persons
  • Completing consents and authorizations
  • Electronically signing camp documents
  • Reporting payments
  • Viewing registration and payment status
  • Managing camp documentation
  • Submitting volunteer information
  • Receiving BLA communications

The website and portal are administrative tools. They do not replace:

  • Medical advice
  • Emergency services
  • Specific camp policies
  • Signed medical authorizations
  • Signed participation agreements
  • Specific payment/refund policies
  • Facility rules

2. ELIGIBILITY AND AUTHORITY

A parent or legal guardian using the portal to register a minor represents that they are authorized to provide information and make decisions on behalf of that minor.

Users must not:

  • Register a minor they are not authorized to register
  • Impersonate another person
  • Submit another person's signature without authority
  • Access another family's records
  • Use another person's account without permission
  • Falsely represent their relationship to a camper

For participants who are 18 or 19 years old, BLA may require the adult participant to personally complete or sign documents that legally apply to them.

For participants under age 13, the registration process is intended to be completed through an authorized parent or legal guardian rather than independently by the child.

3. ACCOUNT RESPONSIBILITY

Users are responsible for:

  • Maintaining accurate account information
  • Protecting login credentials
  • Keeping passwords confidential
  • Using appropriate security practices
  • Logging out of shared devices
  • Promptly notifying BLA of suspected unauthorized account access

Users should not intentionally share credentials with individuals who are not authorized to access the account.

4. ACCURACY OF SUBMITTED INFORMATION

Users agree to provide information that is accurate and complete to the best of their knowledge. This is particularly important for:

  • Date of birth
  • Medical conditions
  • Allergies
  • Medication
  • Emergency contacts
  • Authorized pickup persons
  • Travel information
  • Behavioral or support needs
  • Swimming ability
  • Participant restrictions

Users agree to promptly update BLA when material information changes.

BLA may request clarification or additional information where submitted information is incomplete, inconsistent, unclear, relevant to health or safety, or necessary for program administration.

5. REGISTRATION DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY SECURE A CAMP SLOT

Submitting a registration form does not by itself secure a place at camp.

For the 2027 USA Boot Camp, a camper's slot becomes secured only when applicable registration requirements are satisfied, including:

  • Completion of the required online registration
  • Satisfaction of applicable eligibility requirements
  • Receipt and verification of qualifying payments totaling at least the required minimum deposit
  • Available camp capacity

For the 2027 USA Boot Camp, the minimum qualifying payment to secure an available slot is currently $200.

The applicable signed Payment, Cancellation, Transfer & Refund Policy governs the detailed financial terms.

If there is a conflict between these Website Terms and a specific signed camp policy regarding payment, cancellation, refund, or transfer, the specific camp policy will control for that subject.

6. CAMP CAPACITY AND WAITLIST

Camp capacity is limited. If camp capacity has been reached:

  • A registration may be placed on a waitlist
  • A waitlisted family may not be invited to submit the securing deposit until space becomes available
  • Placement on a waitlist does not guarantee a future camp slot

If BLA promotes a camper from the waitlist, the family may be required to complete payment or other requirements within a stated period.

7. PAYMENTS

BLA may accept camp payments through methods such as:

  • Zelle
  • Cash App
  • Online card payment
  • Other payment methods approved by BLA

Online card payments may be completed through the Breeze online payment page used by RCCG Salvation Center Katy.

Payments made through Zelle, Cash App, or another manually verified method may require administrative verification before they are credited to the camper's account.

Reporting a payment through the BLA portal does not mean the payment has been verified.

BLA may review or flag:

  • Duplicate payments
  • Conflicting transaction references
  • Incorrect amounts
  • Unverified transactions
  • Capacity conflicts
  • Refund issues

Refunds, cancellations, transfers, and non-refundable amounts are governed by the applicable signed BLA Payment, Cancellation, Transfer & Refund Policy.

8. ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS

By creating an account, joining the interest list, registering for a BLA program, or submitting information through the portal, users agree that BLA may send administrative and transactional communications electronically.

These may include:

  • Registration confirmations
  • Payment notices
  • Payment-verification notices
  • Slot confirmation
  • Waitlist notices
  • Waitlist promotion notices
  • Document reminders
  • Reauthorization requests
  • Camp information
  • Medical follow-up
  • Transportation information
  • Safety updates
  • Operational updates
  • Volunteer communications

Electronic communications may be delivered using third-party service providers. Users are responsible for keeping email addresses and contact information current.

9. ELECTRONIC SIGNATURES AND ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

The BLA portal may allow users to electronically sign or acknowledge documents such as:

  • Policies
  • Medical authorizations
  • Medication authorizations
  • Transportation authorizations
  • Pickup authorizations
  • Media consents
  • Water-activity consents
  • Participation agreements
  • Waivers
  • Other camp documents

By submitting a required typed electronic signature through an authenticated BLA account, the signer intends that signature to evidence the signer's agreement to the specific document version presented at the time of signing.

The system may retain:

  • Exact document wording
  • Document version
  • Signer's name
  • Date and time
  • Consent or authorization decision
  • Associated participant
  • Associated registration
  • Relevant audit information

Users should carefully review each document before signing. Users must not electronically sign on behalf of another adult unless they have legal authority to do so.

10. SIGNED DOCUMENTS AND VERSION HISTORY

Completed electronic documents may be preserved as historical records. BLA may maintain:

  • Original signed versions
  • Updated versions
  • Reauthorization history
  • Signature date and time
  • Document version history

A signed record should not be treated as modified simply because the underlying form is later changed.

Where material information changes, BLA may require a new authorization. This may include changes to:

  • Medication
  • Medication dosage
  • Medication timing
  • Emergency medication instructions
  • Authorized pickup persons
  • Other information requiring renewed consent

11. MEDICAL INFORMATION

The BLA platform collects medical and safety information to support camp planning and participant care. The BLA website and portal do not provide medical advice.

Parents, guardians, and adult participants remain responsible for:

  • Providing accurate health information
  • Providing accurate medication information
  • Following healthcare-provider instructions
  • Supplying required medications
  • Communicating material changes
  • Obtaining appropriate medical care when needed

In an emergency, BLA may act in accordance with the applicable signed medical authorization, camp medical procedures, Camp Kappe requirements, and emergency-response procedures.

12. CAMPER CONDUCT AND CAMP POLICIES

Participation in BLA programs is subject to applicable camp policies and requirements. These may include:

These Website Terms do not replace specific signed camp documents.
